Our deepest condolences for the family - We have lost an unbelievable lady in Ann , she was treasurer for The Australian Draught Horse Society Qld Branch for many years , which she handled with precision . I worked beside her when I was secretary for the Branch for 10 yrs . Before Barry passed away they were at the local Heavy Shows where Barry worked his Draught horse and they would always turn up to help set up the shows. When Barry passed , Ann carried on helping with the Australian Draught stall , she always said she kept doing this for Barry . She used to buy shirts etc , and get the Draught logo's put on , as well as all sorts of crockery which she fired the logo's on in her own kiln . She made so much money for the club doing this , when we had a meeting mostly in a Toowoomba park, she would always bring the makings for coffee and tea and goodies she made carrying it all on her wheelie walker . We also had enjoyable Xmas parties for the club at her home in Dalby , where she put on a fantastic meal and all the usual goodies. She was a talented cook and made some fantastic decorated cakes and plum puddings for different places in Dalby. Even when her health got worse she was unstoppable still attending to the Draught Horse stall.I feel bad I hadn't been in touch with her for a while , I sometimes would send her a text , and she was quite clever at that, but life gets in the way sometimes (poor excuse) I only found out she had passed by accident I found it on the Gatton site after she had gone. Rest In Peace , Ann.Gail Fleetwood.
