- I can't be there today to celebrate the life of Aunty Beryl. There are so many special memories of her and her quiet, generous and kind nature. When I was a child, my family and I spent many hours at their house enjoying laughter and lots of food. As an adult, my favourite memory is Aunty Beryl and Uncle Graham opening their home for my husband and his groomsmen to get ready for our wedding. When my children came along, Aunty Beryl would look after them sometimes and both tell me she made the best cheese sandwiches ever! Feeling blessed to have loved and been loved by this beautiful lady of God.

We had such a special bond, and I’ll always treasure the many chats we shared. I loved your honesty, your warmth, and the way you could always make things feel a little lighter. You were the sweetest little lady, with the cutest laugh that I’ll never forget.
You saw so many loved ones pass, yet you always carried that quiet strength and perspective — reminding us that it could always be worse. That resilience is something I’ll carry with me.
I’ll miss being able to pick up the phone and tell you I love you, just one more time.
