- I feel deeply saddened by the passing of Emily. Though it has been many years since our school days (primary and secondary), I remember my friendship with Emily fondly. She exuded heart intelligence and I recall feeling safe in her company. I feel grateful to have connected with her over Facebook this year; her efforts to combat her health challenges were valiant. You are all in my thoughts and Emily will always be remembered. Love Olivia

- To the family of the late Emily Day,I am writing to send my deepest condolences to you all and to honour the memory of your beloved Emily.Emily cared for my husband during his illness, and in a time when we felt lost and alone, she made us feel seen, supported, and safe. She was not only a nurse to us, but a source of comfort, strength, and compassion. Her kindness reached far beyond her work. She made an unbearable journey a little more bearable, and we will never forget the difference she made.Although my husband has since passed, I am forever grateful that he had Emily by his side. The world is a poorer place without her, and she will be deeply missed by all whose lives she touched.Please know that Emily will be remembered with warmth, gratitude, and love.
