- I hardly knew Ian, but I go back to 1977, I was a student at Toowoomba Grammar School and was doing a project on computers in the pig industry and heard that CEFN had one. I wrote to Ian and he invited me down to have a look. My parents and I visited him in his home and spent maybe half a day there while he took us through what he had, he certainly didn't have to. Unfortunately I didn't become very good at pig farming, but remember this day fondly and have for the last almost 50 years now. Condolences to the family of Ian.
