Condolences
- My strongest memories of John were back in 1990 when I worked for him as a plumbers assistant. One morning we arrived at a house out in the cane fields of Norwell and the lady of the house said of her toilet backing up. John quickly diagnosed a blockage in the pipe near the septic tank. He said I don't have time to race into town to hire the pipe cleaner machine. So he simply slipped off his boots shirt n shorts and just in his jocks jumped into the septic tank straight upto his chest and reached arm deep up the pipe and stripped out the offending blockage. After climbing out I hosed him off thoroughly and he dressed just as the lady walked out"How much ?"$150 he saidthe lady was shocked but you were only there 10 minutes"Love , you pay for the result not my time"l learned a very important lesson then and there that day that helped me through my business life

- I met John when I was working for hecks at the Windaroo Golf Club when it opened he was so easy going and nothing ever seemed to worry him especially time management he was a fun guy and allways keeping track of the tracks with horses. He also helped us out with his plumbing around our home he installed a flush toilet upstairs on our verandah and the kids were ever so excited that they didnt have to go down to the thunder box down the paddock with snakes and toads. Thank you John for all you done for us in the early days and we will miss you dearly. Paul will join you at the track and have a bet with you up above.Penny

- I'm a childhood friend of John's eldest daughter, Megan. I'll never forget the day John (Mr Hall back then) came home with a mobile phone. It was the first time I'd ever seen one (we're talking 1983) It was a 10 inch x 3 inch block that he wore over his shoulder. He truly was a pioneer of mobile phones!
Mr Hall, you will be very sadly missed, but I thank you for bringing 3 beautiful children into the world.❤ 4
