John was a man I greatly admired and looked up to and he was very much an inspirational figure to me as a young adult.   Uncle John was a good man who called a spade a spade, didn't take crap along the way.

  He will be missed by many and live long in our memories.

   

  I'm sorry I couldn't be there, I hope to catch up with you all down the road.

• Condolences to the Cooper family, Mr Cooper was a lovely man, and was there whenever we needed any help as our  family lived next door to John when he was the policeman at Drayton .
