Dear Sharon, Michael, Malachy and the extended family,
It was a great privilege to meet Joyce Joy during our stay in Brisbane in 1999.
We were so struck by her faith, trust in God, joy in the Lord and her radiant smiles.
We remember she was often mentioning the perspective to be with the Lord. Now she is, what a position and a reward !
She used to regularly send us scrapbooked calendars and family picture books, as well as nice embroidery pieces. We will cherish them even more now.
We keep a good memory of a sister in Christ who kept faith and trust despite the many difficulties she went through during her life as this was mentioned during the service.
A few weeks before she passed away, we could have a video call with her, laying in her hospital bed. She was able to recognize and smile at us. We will never forget that call, grateful to have seen her for the last time on hearth.
Now she is in peace, her spirit already enjoying the presence of her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ and she’s ahead of all of us !
Regarding her body, we know that : For the Lord himself, with an assembling shout, with archangel's voice and with trump of God, shall descend from heaven; and the dead in Christ shall rise first; then we, the living who remain, shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air; and thus we shall be always with the Lord. So encourage one another with these words. 1 Thess 4.16
May the Father of compassions, and God of all encouragement encourages you in all your tribulation and affliction (2 Cor. 1)

- Hello Sharon and all the extended family.Joy was a treasured part of my life while she lived in Heritage Park. I was always inspired by her faith and courage (she never liked to tell you how her health was).She touched many lives and that's a wonderful legacy. God bless you all now and in the coming days and years as you miss her wisdom and presence but can rejoice that she's now with her precious Lord. 💚
