  My deepfelt condolences on your tragic loss  of Alene. I still look and think back at the happy times the seven of us spent together in the canoe and on our hikes in our beautiful back yard in Mission. All my best wishes for the three of you and your future, and Alene you rest in peace.

  Alene, for 25 years you were one of those beautiful souls who could make time disappear. No matter how long it had been, when we saw each other again it always felt like yesterday.

   

  I will always hear your voice saying “I love your bones,” and I hope you knew just how deeply loved you were in return. You brought warmth, laughter, honesty, and heart wherever you went.

   

  Australia feels very far away today, but please know I am holding you in my heart and sending love to everyone who loved you. I will miss you very much, my friend. 🤍

• It hurts so much knowing that I will never see my friend again. But it hurts even more, just thinking of Inge, Wayne, Danielle and Dan that are left without her. This is NOT how it was supposed to be.

  Alene you were so loved by everyone! your family, all your friends and your lovely bonus family. My dear Alene, may you now be in a place where you have peace and surrounded by beautiful dragonflies. I know we will meet one day in this place and laugh like we used to.
