Condolences
- We met Steve when he was all of 18. We instantaneously hit it off. We kept in touch all these years. He came back to visit us with his parents, with his then girlfriend, Madonna, who he proposed to while he was visiting us, with Nick and Sam when they were babies, and then with his son Nick, who was 18 at the time. this loss is so incredibly profound. It's like we lost a son... we lost a dear, dear member of our family. Madonna, Nick, and Sam your dad was an amazing person, so loving and always connected to the people he loved. We send you three are most sincerest and deepest sympathies, love, and prayers and we hold you close in our hearts.Angela and Bill
- Stephen was my best friend at the academy and the first person I moved out of home with. We shared the same love of British humour and to this day I have never laughed as hard as I did with Stephen, especially when we were touring the dismal rental accomodation available for our limited budgets and desperately trying to see the bright side. Thanks for always making me laugh and being the one person at the acadamy I connected with. Rest in peace Roger, your nerdy mate Felicity xx
- Dear Madonna, Sam, Nick and all our family. Our thoughts and love are with you today and always.I met you and Stephen for your wedding and on the couple of visits you made across to the UK on your wonderful trips abroad together. He was full of adventure and opinion and I enjoyed spending time with you both seeing how happy and in love you were xxAll our love, Chris, Kelly, Jessica & Maddie Johnson(Yorkshire cousins) xx
- Our sincere sympathy to Madonna and the boys, a quite neighbour and a good man.

I am so sorry to hear about Steve. I met him in 1985 when he was a foreign exchange student. We lost touch and reconnected several times over the years. I was happy to connect in person when he and his son visited the U.S. in 2019. I'm glad my daughter got to meet him when they visited the state capital. More recently, Steve and I played D&D every Monday for nearly six years. He's going to be sorely missed.
