• We were very sorry to hear of the passing of George. Please know that you and your family are in our thoughts during this difficult time. Your friendship over the years has meant so much to our family, and we share in your sadness. Special to us were the days at Amberley where the trucks were, when the Hanson and Stephens families would share Saturday night dinner. • A message for Fay and your family from Cousin Kerry

   

  Our hearts are with you all today as you farewell George, he is remembered by us as a very fine example of a man.

   

  I always thought of him as a very good role model for those who were fortunate enough to cross paths with him.

   

  I always thought of him as one who you could go to in a time of need and he would reach out and see you right.

   

  While we all mourn his passing, please be assured that he has left a lasting mark on our lives.

   

  I treasure memories of a trip from Moombra to Esk with George at the wheel of his "Commer knocker" and also a special memory of George and Fay travelling a long way to celebrate my 21st birthday in Esk in 1968.
